This handloomed, original design is inspired by the the Lakota symbol of sun and earth.
The black background and silver accents brings the symbols to the eye like the background of the night sky, a touch of turquoise finishes this colorway. 
The most recognized symbol of the Lakota was the kapemni—a simple hourglass or X-form called the kapemni means twisting, which is deeply associated with how the tribe understands the stars in the sky.
